Job Description Summary:



The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for the management of fiscal and operational activities of assigned regions’ home health agencies with a strong emphasis on reliable delivery and coordination of client care, growth, expansion and development of services. Participates in role-based training for agency leadership staff. Assists the Senior VP of Operations with long-range planning for and ensuring the fiscal viability of assigned region.



Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:



A. Consults with the agencies’ management staff, Support Center business departments and other senior managers in planning and developing programs, services, systems and other functions which will assist patient care providers and support staff.

B. Conducts an ongoing analysis of operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency and completeness of services for the company and network providers.

C. Assists in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the day-to-day functions of the agency, its programs and activities.

D. Works with various departments within the agency in forms design and work flow studies to promote maximum efficiency within the departments.

E. Works as a liaison between the provider of services and the various service departments for problems identified which are unable to be resolved.

F. Maintains viable relationships with all corporate departments and division administrators to assure pertinent issues are considered while creating positive changes which impact the corporation as a whole.

G. Assists in the recruitment and selection of competent directors, administrators, supervisors, consultants, and other staff as needed.

H. Assists in the development of agency-specific strategic plans that incorporate marketing and business aspects in conjunction with sales and operational leadership.

I. Has responsibility to ensure that the agency complies with local, state and federal rules and regulations that pertain to homecare and provides high quality care; consistent with the corporate quality assurance program.

J. Promotes a culture of customer service to all organization personnel, referral sources and clients served. Provides an environment which fosters continuous quality improvement.

K. Regular and frequent overnight travel required.



Position Qualifications:



1. Registered Nurse (RN) required with the ability to be licensed in multiple states.

2. Bachelor’s Degree in Business with emphasis on management or other health-related management degree preferred.

3. Five (5) years’ management experience and knowledge of regulations and corporate structure.

4. Knowledge of Medicare-certified and Private Duty-licensed home care business operations, accreditation and regulatory requirements required.

5. Prior success in revenue growth and development and execution of market planning and leadership.

6. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial metrics and key performance indicators.

7. Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional, administrative and direct care staff.

8. Strong communication and public relations skills.
