 Job Description Summary:

 The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR duties to include recruiting, benefits administration, employee relations, policy implementation, performance management, onboarding and compliance. 

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

A.    Administers the company’s human resource information (HRIS) and applicant tracking (ATS) systems.

B.    Sources, recruits and qualifies candidates through the effective use of recruiting methods and best practices.

C.   Handles employee relations counseling, employee engagement initiatives and conducts and analyzes exit interviews.

D.   Oversees the development, analysis and communication of benefit programs to the organization.

E.    Assists in the development and revision of policies relating to HR administration as directed by the CHRO.

F.    Conducts job description review and develops new/revises existing job descriptions. Evaluates job descriptions and conducts market salary surveys to determine appropriate salary grades.

G.   Develops, maintains and analyzes reports related to benefit costs, employee census, turnover, recruitment methods/ROI and other specialized reports as requested by the CHRO.

H.   Conducts orientation and training for Corporate department managers and branch/agency staff regarding HR policies/procedures, employment practices and recruiting and hiring processes.

I.      Participates in the development of annual Human Resources Department budget.

J.    Occasional overnight travel as required.

Position Qualifications:

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources or related field from an accredited university.
  2. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Human Resources is preferred.
  3. HR Certification through HRCI or SHRM preferred.
  4. Demonstrated working knowledge of employment and human resources administration practices, EEO, employee benefits and compensation administration.
  5. Must have strong communication skills, customer service skills, networking and sourcing skills; exhibits strong drive for results and success, and ability to achieve set goals.
  6. Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, etc.) and the Internet.
  7. Possess a strong work ethic, creativity and excellent people skills.
  8. Occasional overnight travel is required.
